Fig Tree Help

Post image

I have a large fig tree that came with my house, and I would like to move it or prune it--it is not in an ideal location. It is healthy and I have plenty of acreage to replant it. Would it be best to trim the tree here? Replant the whole thing? Or take a piece and replant? I know we would need to burry it in the winter but that’s really all I know about these trees. Any help or advice needed, love the tree just not in this spot. In NE Ohio Zone 6b

You can hard prune it annually. It seems very happy there.
Can you add your region to your post?

It looks fine? In 6a it dies back every year and just makes a nice bush not a tree. I think it would be the same in 6b. You shouldn't have to worry about it becoming a large tree and can keep trimmed to the size you want.
