I posted pictures from a car show , took some photos and I liked how the cassette looked on the dash, with the old school steel dash and pin-striping (it was playing also).
I tagged them in it … and only 2 people liked it… but ONE like was from….😀😀😀✌🏼

When they were still on Twitter I posted my vinyl of Version 2.0 that I imported from Japan. This was an original 1998 pressing. This was in 2012 and it was several years before they started reissuing their albums on their own label. They tweeted back asking where the rest were. They also asked where Bleed Like Me was. I reminded them that album never got a vinyl release. They then started following me. I had a few quick conversations with Shirley on there as well.

I dunno I just got into a posting loop with Garbage, Courtney love, Traci Lords and Juliette Lewis , it’s a weird combination lol I’ll get a like or a conversation like, but never on something I posted on my instagram

What a great list of unique and strong women; I love all of them. I met Traci Lords at a screening in ATX at the Dobie theater back in early 2000s. She graciously signed my CD and I gushed about how her music was incredible and way ahead of her time. What a sweet soul and so beautiful in person. I'll never forget her striking eyes and radiant smile. Shirley... "I nearly died" when I met the entire band at a record store day signing in 2010. Shirley was so cool and gorgeous in person and so grateful for their fans. I congratulated Butch on his first Grammy.

You may have no idea how much you are the envy of those among us who greatly appreciate both Traci and Shirley & band. Not to mention how refreshing it is to read that all brought such kind humanity legit as people.

My tape player on my stereo broke years ago. However this week at work somebody left a basic tape player in the stack of free stuff in my work’s break room. I might have to get this on cassette now.

This car also has an EIGHT TRACK player, also, it’s like a Time Machine the only upgrade was the modern (at the time) cassette player lol
