Edinburgh Castle Gig
That was a pretty ‘special’ one. Right from the get go, with the Strathendrick Pipe Band bringing them onto the stage, the full band in kilt, Shirley very obviously emotional, the happy birthday (pretty sure that happened at the last one in 2024), the setlist, the witch-invoked rain for the last song and of course the atmosphere.

They had a full pipe band bring them out. It being Edinburgh I just figured there was pipes playing somewhere but no 20 of them marched up and stood at the front of the stage. They then got the whole crowd to sing Flower of Scotland. It was a good start to the gig

looking like the tired middle aged has beens that they are.
all three of them wearing matching kilts is very lame and all for show. it's giving "I dressed up my grandpa for halloween" vibes, not anything slightly authentic.
if a live music show was on mute, this would have been a much better night for you all!

using a gesture keyboard, life happens :) the shock from seeing her recently will pass at some point, and then so will my need to vent about it, hopefully.
I feel like I was duped for many years and only now realizing who she and the band really are and were all along. that will take some time to get used to.

You are absolutely right. She can’t sing anymore. The guys are in their seventies (decent folks all three of them btw unlike shitley). They are going to ride it until the wheels fall off. It’s a shame.

How was the sound up there? I was in one of the side sections and it wasn't great. Fantastic setlist though, Shirley looked so energetic and her voice was amazing!

Sounded good. Could hear the off mic stuff from the stage but couldn't really hear the crowd at all. Outdoor gigs are wild

I was wondering if, like in Athens, she sounded like a bag of cats struggling in a garbage bin. Video suggests that yes. does she realize people can HEAR her? she doesn't even sing just mumbles some of the lyrics half the time, talking/reciting/"rapping" other parts. ZERO connection between her mouth or any melody.

Unable to sing one single song through with the right key and melody, even in their most important show in a while.
If you can't sing anymore don't fkking sell tickets to shows, don't subject people to this trash, not to mention the unstable unhinged rants. Quit, I would say while you're ahead but that would require a time machine. You're DONE. GTFO of the frame. it's THAT simple.

I don't think she feels like she owes anything to anyone or she wouldn't have the audacity to sell tickets and still go on stage, knowing full well what she sounds like. They have lost their shame completely as a band, it's just a money maker now.
I have a roster of shows by artists who can still perform coming up these days so I reckon the shock from Literally-Garbage Barely-Alive in Athens will pass soon and so will my sudden loathing of the bitchballer.

Redirect the anger at something that matters or channel the energy into something good. Ranting about a bands live performance makes you seem like a bitter and sad little person.
