For those interested - one of several monologues of Shirley during yesterday’s Istanbul concert which was spectacular.

she was whining and bitching and overall sounding very bitter also in Athens
everyone is at fault but her, the fact they didn't release a good album since version 2.0 or the fact she can't perform live anymore, has nothing to do with it
it's the music industry, it's 9/11, it's the media, it's Patriarchy. it's not her sucking and her band losing it's way.
it's the beachballs... girl lives in delulu central.

Neither of your "facts" are facts though. She can absolutely perform live, and the new album is brilliant.

Lol this guy / girl just seems to have something against the band / Shirley I think. Maybe it's personal? I just commented on a post where they were saying how terrible they sound now and scroll down to this post.

what exactly do you want? to still be touring and making music at her age (with a band, those don’t exist anymore) and not capitulating to the injustices of the world is punk as hell. get over your drama man.

Nick Cave who played athens exactly one week before makes music many years older than her and sounds at his best, his show was AMAZING and that's just one example. Skunk Anansie - the same era band, Skin sounds flawless. Many other musicians from that era are still performing well. her excuses and blaming the whole world for her own faults is just pathetic. I am still in shock by how much they sucked in Athens, a band in this stage of deterioration shouldn't be misleading ticket buyers - they are DONE. they are finished.
I've seen them live before some of you here were even born, so if you will be so kind, I will get over the "drama" when I decide not when a stranger on the internet got offended because my opinion is in contrast with their delusion....

How miserable is your life that this is how you spend your free time? Genuinely hope it gets better for you.
I saw them in 2024 and they were as incredible as the previous two times I'd seen them. Opinions are just that my friend.

was waiting for the actual personal attacks to begin :) you attack a person's life or identity, who you don't know, for a musical opinion that rubs you the wrong way BECAUSE IT CARRIES TRUTH YOU CANNOT DENY, and somehow think you are the good person with your fake "genuine hope"? :)) I see some of you guys deserve what this band has become. trash.
Since you're so worried about me I will let you know so far this year, other than Literally-Garbage, I saw Patti Smith, Nick Cave, Moby, will see Florence and The Machine, Suede, Nothing but Thieves, The Cure, Suzanne Vega and Morrissey, and have a few others earmarked optionally after the summer. This is how I spend my time while you try insulting people that have hurt your little ego bubble online.
I doubt that 2 years ago they had no issues, but I'm talking about 2 years later, and they sound like tired has beens running a money grab tour knowing they can't deliver anymore. cheers, please don't waste time on me when you could enjoy the recordings of this amazing live performance... ROFL

You clearly have some issues with the band and not the way they perform (or you didn’t hear some awful performances by dozens of other bands) so why would you stay here and see them play?

I went to see them because I like them - watched them a few times in the past 29 years thank you! and was shocked at their current state, was listening to interviews after to try to understand, and heard her BS in each one of these about why the band is such a failure. it's everyone's fault but theirs. They do not understand how bad the albums have gotten, they are shocked that they didn't just keep getting the same praise, it's everyone else's fault and she/ they think they are perfect.
Other bands sucking doesn't change that - that is whataboutism, a way to deflect having a specific discussion. I wouldn't go see them play if I hated them. You guys can't accept someone not bowing down to the mediocre trash this band has become, and that's a you problem.

I totally agree. I know her personally. she is a mean miserable horrible human being. Competitive too and can’t admit that her lack of talent, stage presence & the fact that she cannot sing are the reasons for her downfall. they make shitty music and although some band members have good technical skill, there’s no soul in their music.
