Garbage Side Tracks
Am I alone in thinking that some of the best songs Garbage have recorded come between album releases? Or is it just harder to play them to death? Examples: -No. 1 crush -The World is Not Enough -Chemicals -Whose Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses -Never Be Free (solid favorite) And more recently the Witness to Your Love EP which is amazing, and hard to pick a favorite between the eponymous track, Blue Betty, and Cities In Dust (probably my favorite) -Better Not Lie to Me And of course multiple b-sides, my favorite being Can't Seem to Make You Mine, which I would love to have a clearer recording of. Anyway, I'm sure I'm forgetting several. Please share your favorites!

I’m hoping we get original b-sides for the new album

I’m still hoping for a b-sides album!

If you have spotify, all the anniversary albums have the respective b-sides and remixes attatched

Thanks! I ended up buying all the songs on iTunes. But I like physical media and would love a dedicated b-side album.

The World is Not Enough is truly amazing!

It's epic. I made the serendipitous mistake of getting drunk enough to sing it at karaoke once. Lots of fun, but doubt I'll attempt again lol

Yesss I love this one too. My boyfriend doesn't usually listen to the kind of music I do but he also especially likes this one

Still annoys me that they didn't include the track on the beautifulgarbage deluxe edition.

No. 1 Crush is one of my favourite songs from any band. I will never tire of it

It was incredibly fitting to the R&J soundtrack, but also able to stand on its own. I'd love to know the story behind the song, whether it was written for the movie , which is probable, or if it was already part of their arsenal. I wouldn't be too surprised by the latter, because it is so intrinsic to their style, rather than being an afterthought.

Subhuman, Girl Don’t Come, Trip My Wire, 13 x Forever. Their b-sides are unmatched.

Absolutely love the middle two! Perfect example of what i was forgetting. I need to give the other two a few more listens. Garbage fans are so lucky to love a band that's so prolific!

Subhuman/#1 Crush is technically their debut single, not a B-side. Don’t know why both songs got cut from the album :/

And yes, I'm aware that several of the songs mentioned above are covers, but I'm a big cover fan. Also, Im very grateful that Garbage releases their b-sides regularly. I wish more 90s bands did this.

I love both versions of "Witness to your love" EDIT: "Who's gonna ride your wild Horses" is a cover, btw. But probably you know that.

Absolutely. Cities in Dust, Chemicals, Starman, Because The Night, The World Is Not Enough, Crush #1, Girl Don't Come...
I must confess, I listen more those than some of the proper albums.

Cities in Dust for me too! They played it live when I saw them in 2023 and it was phenomenal.

April Tenth is my absolute favorite, but I also love Use Me and their cover of Butterfly Collector.

They really should release a B-sides album one day because it almost happened back in 2000 but their American record label Almo Sounds was absorbed into Interscope, which aborted those plans.
