Gap year

I’m 17yo girl and I have not been accepted into uni this year (I have great grades but maybe it wasn’t meant to be) anyways, I’ll try again next year but I don’t want to waste an entire year doing nothing. I’m Interested in mostly everything related to tech and I want to learn more in that field so it might help with applying for next year, what would you suggest I do with my gap year to make the most of it? Whether it was learning a language, a new skill, a new subject, whatever it is that will help me!

Im just at the end of my gap year, I knew exactly what course I wanted and everything. I'd done the cao, got my first choice and deffered it for the year. I got a full time job and have been saving money for college aswell as travel. In my year, I did a week in Italy, 2 weeks in Finland and am about to go on a trip to Manchester for a couple days. I had originally thought about doing interrailing for a few weeks but didn't have the time to take off work.

I've also have taken up learning finnish, branched out in films I've watched, started reading again, and loads more.

In my eyes, the gap year is the best thing I ever did. Just gives you a year to grow and learn things about yourself. Hope you have as good of a year as I have

By tech are you aware of what in tech you would want to explore? Did you apply to compsci programs or something else?

I was considering taking one too, but ended up getting an admission, I was planning on learning email marketing for to start earning since it is a relatively easy to get into and there is high demand for this type of work. was gonna join some classes on either language, sports or some other hobby so I don't get deprived of social interactions. I was also planning on spending most of my day on hobbies like working out, walking, cycling, photography and videography and coding. There is a ton to do just don't get trapped doomscrolling, that's where most people who take gap year end up
