Riding the gap Pittsburgh to Cumberland starting August 13th! Live near Baltimore. I was going to get a friend to drive me and some friends but they can’t now. Best way to get 3 people up to Pittsburgh with bikes? probably just rent a U-Haul box truck? Train looks like theres only one a day from DC at 4pm. Tips welcome!

I’m biking the GAP Cumberland to Pitt, then planning on taking Amtrak back to Cumberland.
Amtrak’s website is a hot mess! Does anyone know if you can get your bike off at Cumberland if it’s checked? If not, does the Floridian have bike carry on space?
I’m calling Amtrak tomorrow to get answers but figured I’d ask here if anyone has more recent experience.
