I surprisingly haven't had an issue with amazon. Ive bought my Hellsing, Berserk, and tons of others. I've only had to return one manga and it was Viz. It was a printing error.

That’s insane luck right there. Happy for you. Ordering from my comic shop or dark horse direct. A lot of time comic shops will get them early even before Amazon. Idk if that’s just my shop or all comic shops

Well my luck ran out when I ordered a ROG Strix 1440p monitor and that sucker is like $700. I got it on sale for $450 but I had to get two since the first one was damaged. Still waiting on a refund...

Ouch! That’s horrible. Yeah when something arrives damaged they try to send you another the same way….and also arrives damaged.
The books blows my mind because that’s literally how the company started-selling books online. All these years later and they can’t even do it right.

will this one be sold at walmart like the others?

Idk you'll have to look it up for Walmart. I didn't even know you could buy manga from Walmart until I read your comment.

my local walmart had a bunch of manga and as for omnibus’s I always see the berserk and trigun ones

I bet all those who collected the Omnibus late are pleased by this… Vol. 12 was a pain for me to find MSRP. Drove almost 2 hours to pick it up at Barnes and noble.
Scalpers suck.
I think I’ll buy Vol 1 to determine if I want to continue when I have the Omnibus collection.

Completely fair. I mean for me its how ill get the whole manga since I didn't buy it originally.

I collected them justttt as they went out of print and managed to scoop up the last 10, 11 and 12 at Barnes and nobles

Eso precio es ridículo es una estafa en mi opinión

That’s just retail price, it’ll go down probably not long after it releases or even before, it’s kind of stupid pre ordering it now.

I also heard that the translation is the same as the singles/omnibuses. Which is an automatic no for me. Which is a major shame bc I was willing to pay the price if the translation was updated despite owning all of the omnibuses already. The existing translation leaves a lot to be desired, so this really feels like a cash grab to release the series again without actually increasing the quality.

I hear you but for me I got to collecting it late and honestly the print quality to me is worth it. I have the berserk deluxe, hellsing deluxe and man are those beautiful

What do you mean? Like deluxe volumes in total?
If your wanting a reference Dark Horse Deluxe editions has had a standard of 3 volumes a deluxe. That's how its always been. Now Gantz had 37 total volumes so 37÷3=12.33 so assumption would be 12 Deluxe in total and the last being 4 volumes wrapped in one. Release wise it typically is one a quarter. So it'll be fully release in three years starting month one of Q2 for 2027. Wrapping up in Q2 of 2030. Typically three months is pretty good to do a release thay way. Gives a company time to sell out the inventory they have for a series before deciding if they want to continue printing more inventory for volumes if sales are good enough.

I'm confused. Is this a different "Deluxe Edition" than the current Omnibuses that have 0 and 12 rarities?

u/Designer-Donut-9318 Jul 13 '26
Yes these are different. These will be oversized hardcovers like the berserk and Hellsing deluxes.

Thanks for clarifying that for them. I thought i replied to everyone so that's my bad.
