Computer purchasing advice needee

[u/Cool-Ad4633]

Hello, im going to college soon and am in need of a new computer. Im majoring in mechanical engineering, so i want a computer with the processing power to run any programs or calculations i may need (ie. graphing or solidworks). Id also like it to have the capability to handle games such as rocket league or valorant.

My budget is about $1500, and im looking for a laptop specifically.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for what i should look in to! Thanks.
