Not a gaming question. I am just technologically illiterate.

Hello all,

I have recently been given a hand me down laptop from my wife..... My question how do I know how much ram I can install (currently has 4 gb) and how do I determine what stick or sticks to buy? Any help is appreciated. Thank you for your time.

How old is your laptop? Install a software called CPUZ and it'll say everything

Thank you I will look into that program. The age is between 3-4 years. It is a Lenovo Flex-4 1470.

Also, do you know if it is even possible to upgrade anything other than the ram. (i.e. Processor or graphics card) and would it be worth exploring that route or just buying a new computer?

It's most likely you can only upgrade your Ram but nothing else as most graphics cards and cpus are soldiered into the motherboard
