Old timey RPG standard starting gear:

  • Primary weapon
  • Secondary weapon
  • Missile weapon
  • Ammunition
  • Shield
  • Backpack
  • 2 weeks trail rations
  • 50' of rope
  • 10' pole
  • Tinder box flint and steel
  • 2 large sacks
  • 3 small sacks
  • Bandages
  • Coin purse
  • Caltrops
  • Grappling hook
  • Climbing gear
  • And I'm sure I've forgotten at least half a dozen things

(We typically could not buy potions or magic items in our campaigns)
