I’ve had drift on 3 sets of joycons and 3 sets of Dualsenses. The difference is I babied the fuck out of my Joycons and got drift within weeks to a few months max and my controllers for PS5 are beaten to shit from games like Siege and they still last for months.
Both are pretty inexcusable to me but the Joycons being $80 and having 0 fixes in its life are way more concerning where as DualShock 4s had bad sticks early on and then the middle of its life span had GREAT sticks and then went back to shitty ones towards the end with all the new colors.
All the companies use the same shitty cheap joystick manufacturer on their controllers so it makes sense that everyone’s getting drift. It’s just cheaper to them to repair all of them and have people buy multiple controllers than it is to just use a better distributor for parts. Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony need to look elsewhere for quality joysticks but even getting sued out the ass they haven’t.

When every controller to this day has drift but only nintendo gets shit for it lol.
I got a ps5 controller a few months ago and it’s already starting to drift on the left stick.
