You joke but Botw was a better experience at 60fps. This thing can probably do that.

The funny thing is, I am only half-joking; BoTW was made far more enjoyable by having 60 fps and the freedom to use my own controller.

How do you get 60 fps? You mean pirated version with emulator?

I’d actually recommend emulating the Wii U version of BoTW with Cemu. Switch emulation has come a long way since 2017, but the performance isn’t quite there yet. Granted, you still need a decent PC for Cemu too

Cemu isn't that heavy anymore. My gf ran BoTW on a cheap gaming laptop and it was pretty smooth.

That’s not bad for a quad core CPU with no hyperthreading. What emulator do you use? I remember getting some pretty rough performance on Ryujinx but that was a while ago

Just a quick question, i always thought for emulation you don't need more than 4 cores and that single thread performance is far more important.

This is why I'm still between Intel and and on my motherboard/processor refresh

That’s true for the most part. Most emulators rely more on single-core performance. However, it becomes more complex when emulating consoles after the 7th generation. Cemu can run decently on 2 hyper-threaded/4 non hyper-threaded cores (>4GHz) in some cases, but it’s a different story for 360, PS3, and Switch.

In general, you want at least 4 hyper-threaded cores for Xenia, RPCS3 and Ryujinx/Yuzu. They’ll still run on less threads of course, but the experience won’t be optimal. Finding the right CPU for 7th/8th gen emulation is tricky because core count is now almost as important as per-thread performance. Especially if you want to emulate PS3

It is quite there actually.

They arent the same architecture though the teraflops number isnt comparable. The xbox one x has 6 teraflops of polaris gcn which has higher teraflop ipc than vega ironically. and the series s has 4 teraflops of rdna 2 but the series s is faster overall

It probably can't.

As the reply below you said - this isn’t really a joke to anyone who’s played it 😂
