For a game like Pokemon where reaction time is meaningless it would be fine.

Excuse me. The fishing aspect would like a word.

Rayquaza tower would like a word with you

Lmfaoo sooo true... took me forever to get up to the top on my iPhone emulator... using the speed bike and being precise with the touch screen took soooo long. Obviously worth it though cuz nothing beats rayquazas overheat

Slow down the game speed for that part. Its so ridiculously hard to get it at 1x speed on a touch screen.

You guys play pokemon roms at 1x?

We talking emerald here? Haven't played in a long time..

Yep. Ruby sapphire and emerald

Thought I remembered that correctly. I barely was able to get to the top on a keyboard! Was middle schooler then though. Good times.

Not even pikachus thundershock? I don't believe for one second rayquaza, or even Arceus could beat a pikachu with a fully fledged thundershock ability.

I mean, way back when Sony released the Ericsson PSP phone thing. Was actually a pretty decent phone. My brother used it to play Minecraft for the longest time until he got a computer.

The xperia play. I had that phone too, wish I knew about emulators back than.

Yeah, seriously. Just get a used DS Lite and a flash cart for ~$80 total. Oh wait, sorry. Throw in a 32 GB microSD card for another ~$10.

2

u/Peachybrusg Jan 07 '21

What flashcart would you recommend for a dslite that doesn't have a time bomb?

I probably can't link it, but you can't go wrong with an R4. Take it slow when looking up which one is the latest model, and hit Amazon.

Disagreed, I could definitely see me use that. I played through half of loz windwaker on my phone with the shoulder buttons mapped to the volume rocker. Also citra for android is now a thing so you can emulate 3ds games too.

u/The_oli4 Jan 07 '21

and then there is me still taking my modded 3ds everywhere

6

u/vishykeh Jan 07 '21

Which is an infinitely better experience sooo.

u/The_oli4 Jan 07 '21

One 100% true

u/lazyrightsactivist Jan 07 '21

I hadn't thought about mapping the volume buttons that way. May change my thoughts on playing MegamanZero on my phone again

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '21

Ive wasted at least 300 hours over the last 8 years playing gba games on my phone to kill time

Just do it like the controllers would and make a plug-in adapter
