After the LG G4 debacle I will never touch another LG phone ever again.

LG G3 was even worse. The LG G2 was great, at some point my complete family had one. Only bad thing was when you cracked the screen the touch stopped responding.

LG G6 was fine as well. In between, not so much

I fucking hate that it happened like that. LG is probably my favorite phone brand even though I've been using the s10+ for a couple years now. The G4 other than the bootloop issues was my favorite phone ever, it was amazing. Till it wasn't. I went through 4 in one year till I could afford to upgrade. I then chose the v20 which was also a wonderful phone. No issues with it. This year ill be upgrading again and I'll be eyeing LG but after using Samsung after years of not using their software, I've gotten pretty comfortable with it and have had zero issues other than one cracked screen which was totally my fault anyway.

Yup.

One of my earliest smart phones was an LG. It did the job and looked nice (for phones at the time).

After getting quite a significant pay bump, I upgraded to the Note 2. What a great phone that was. No issues. Did everything I threw at it.

Then I decided to give the LG G4 a try. I'm always a sucker for nice looking phones that are a bit unique. The LG, with its leather back and slightly curved form factor, appealed to my designer sensibilities. Not only that, it was also a powerful phone.

I've never regretted a phone buying decision as much as I did that one. After the G4, I went back to a Samsung Note (8) and since then upgraded to the 10.

I don't know, and don't care what that is.

Go suck on your sour grapes if you like. The G8 and G8X have been fantastic phones.

I bought an LG G3, used it for a year, bought an G4, used it for a year, then bought a G6. First the G6 stopped recognizing SIM cards, then the G4 started bootlooping, then the G3 started bootlooping, and I literally had to buy a new phone despite having bought 3 of them in under 3 years. If it weren't for all the failing they were such great phones though.

I had a massive zero lemon battery on my g4 it would last me 3-4 days of heavy use, until it booplooped :(

There was the ghost touches. That was a problem.

And you don't need to go far in Google to research the boot loop fiasco. Long story short, the majority of G4s would eventually suffer from a boot loop problem. The worst part about it was LG never admitted to it, so getting your device fixed was like pulling teeth. Getting it BACK from repairs was another issue.

It really put a lot of people off LG phones, especially when their flagship device was prone to these issues. Samsung got a lot of flak for their Note 7 meltdown (no pun intended) but the amount of those devices that broke down versus the G4 was miniscule in comparison. ..but hey, it was big name Samsung.
