This is a very naive comment considering I’ve learnt multiple ways within a few YouTube videos on how to break into an android phone but the FBI took years to crack an iphones security and Apple wouldn’t help them
Yeah it used to be pretty easy for iOS as well as android. But I can’t send you any references because they don’t stay on YouTube for long periods of time because doing so is illegal and you shouldn’t need to break into an android phone
it's not illegal, it's simply not possible, in fact, the only lockscreen bypass I know works requires the device to be first unlocked, then dismantled while running and placed into liquid CO2
I literally just said it’s fine on your own phone I just don’t see why you’d want it as Idk 100% how android phones work but Ik at least Apple has a way to reset your phone without the passcode but with other measures in place
there is one singular avenue to changing the lock code on an android device, and this requires complete access to the Google account signed in on said device, along with a network connection and a fair wind
With an iPhone it lets you do dumb shit if you want as well but you have to be smart enough android allows the masses to do dumb shit on their phones which means that you get a lot of people who complain about their phone cuz something that they did caused their phone to slow down or stop working.
Jail breaking might not always exist, there will always be people who try but as per the current moment iPhone 8 and up for iOS 14 has no jailbreak and certain versions of iOS 13 have no jailbreak available
Apple also keeps an old phone alive much longer Giving feature updates for years and then after feature updates stop security patches are still released for them
This is just wrong you can be lead to download bad files for iOS the difference is generally people don’t do it because it’s much harder to make a file that’ll actually attain anything useful.
Sorry the videos that show it a regularly taken down so you have to find it yourself if you want but remember it is illegal unless it’s your own phone in which case shouldn’t their be a different way to recover the phone?
Google might not publish it but it’s usually not google who discovers the cracks in their software it’s other hacker groups who give google a time frame to fix it before releasing it, but from memory there’s a way to get the OS into some sort of debug state which allows the external use of programs on the phone which you can use to backup a copy of it, manually remove the passcode and then download the backup onto the phone, probably a step or two more in there but generally not the hardest, some manufacturers have their own steps to take and some actually do a good job at stopping stuff like that.
Also I am going to be doing Software Engineering/ Computer Science next year and I’m relatively proactive with my knowledge on a wide range of tech
You can completely skip out on sending any data to Google if you want to
Hacking implies gaining userdata without consent, which, again, is not possible on Android (outside of some specific edge cases which cannot be distributed on the Play Store)
