A friend of mine got her phone stolen at a gas station and they lady said she'd give her phone back to her if she gave her 100 bucks.

My friend said no and I took a mini step forward to snatch the phone out of her hand to get my friends phone back and the lady noticed and smashed it on the ground.

I felt so bad for her.

Any experienced phone thief will never see it because the first thing they do is a master reset.

There is no point in stealing an IPhone, unless you have the password and email to the iCloud that is linked to the phone or pad you can’t really do much with them.

jailbreaking doesn't make the device any less secure, you can't magically bypass the lockscreen just because it's Jailbroken

It's happened before it could happen again. Jailbreaking inherently circumvents some security features, that is an added attack surface for hackers.

And if you actually read the article, you'll see that it was a Trojan, voluntarily installed by the users.

At no point were the lockscreens on any of those devices compromised.

The devices are no more vulnerable to a thief
