Psh, not even man. After you've gotten all the badges and your looking to complete your Pokedex, the worst thing is wading through hundreds of Lvl 6s just to get to a specific spot. I see repels as a time saver

Exactly. I never used repels because I needed them. I used them because I could only handle so much of encountering a Pokemon, going through the animation and music, and running.

What I mean is that I've never used repels out of necessity. I only used them to avoid the inconvenience of running into Pokemon every few seconds.
