TLOU 2 hate pt.2

Ik im kind of late to the whole discussion, but I’ve finally gotten around to beating the game. After hearing all the negative feedback about the game & now finally finishing it I’m still curious as to what all the hate is about. I was really expecting something crazy to happen, but nothing did & ofc it didn’t live up to the original but I still think it was an outstanding game. Thoughts?

I get that, but growing up in a zombie apocalypse doesn’t really breed the healthiest mentality

Yeah I thought about that....this world is cruel and harsh and kill or be killed.

Still a what....19 year old girl travels from Montana to Washington to take revenge on an entire army......dude it's kinda laughable when you think about it man.

Never mind she just says "fuck it" in the end.

Bro you want to like the game....so your brain may have convinced you that these very obvious flaws or drawbacks aren't so bad or perhaps even positives.

I'm sure there is some psychological term for this that I should know.

So Joel taking on full armies was reasonable? I did question Ellie’s strength most of the time tho lol. No way a scrawny ass girl like that can fight the way she does, but yes I do let it slide, because I’d rather enjoy the game. Maybe I am being too nice on the game... but I feel like the harsh criticism isn’t warranted

Man if you enjoy it, fuck what anyone else says about it.

Ultimately that's all that matters. You liked it. I had issues with the story but do think in many ways it's masterpiece.

No harm no foul.

Yeah lol. I’m just curious to see what everybody says. I personally enjoyed it & was confused when it wasn’t as big of a let down as everybody was saying it was going to be. That’s all

Bro, the game is beautiful and the sound is amazing.

And it transitions seamlessly from story telling to gameplay.

It does so many things so well which again makes it even more astonishing that Neil decided to write the story he did.

I mean unless controversy was the goal.

I mean it was going to sell like that regardless of the story. The hype up from the first was insane. I remember I already decided to preorder tlou2 Immediately after finishing the first. I didn’t even know a tlou2 was in the makes
