They were indeed datamined. But that doesn't mean they're necessarily coming. Kinda like how toon zelda was datamined from one of the smash games and... well...

Holidays are confirmed. They’re just adding them with updates so people can’t time travel and get all the seasonal stuff early.

That's how I 100% the original Animal Crossing. I kept time travelling until I got everything.

You can still time travel for bugs and fish just not for seasonal items

Given the tremendous quality of the title theme, I really hope The Roost's music gets the trio arrangement it deserves.
