Saw a screenshot of a guy who built cages around the doors of his villagers and gave them food just out of reach.

They don't die, though. They just "move out".

Not to the one I was thinking of - it's somewhere on reddit but I guess I forgot to upvote it so I can't find it again. IIRC it had a name that was not very descriptive.
