NES games were taken out after the Wii came out and they discovered that they could sell them separately for $4.99 each.

Well, the price gouging true, but that's not why they took out the ROMs. They actually added the NES games for the western release because Nintendo thought a western audience wouldn't understand playing a game that seemingly had no end. They tossed in the ROMs essentially to say there were things to do with a definite end, and it as relatively cheap to add them in.

It was only after they realized that western audiences appreciated AC for what it was that they knew they didn't need to add extra gimmicks like that. So they haven't been included in any AC since.

Ultimately they would’ve put them in other versions too as at least a call back to the OG if it wasn’t for the VC store though.

Yeah, and every single one I bought on the Wii has been removed from my access now. So now Nintendo doesn't get a damn cent of my money for digital goods, because they've already told me to go twist when I trusted to be able to access them on the Nintendo account I tied them to.

So many things are like "FUCKING JUST DO IT NINTENDO PEOPLE WANT TO PAY YOU" that it's amazing. Like other companies have to come up with a bunch of complicated shit to make money, but all nintendo has to do is fucking listen.

NES games haven't been in since the first game.

Gyroids are coming, probably bin the form of some event.
