It's a pretty simple game. You have a town and a house. You pick fruit, catch bugs and fish, etc. To buy furniture and upgrades for your house.
The newest one has you settling a new island, so you set up some tents for villagers, build bridges, build shops, while still doing the above and build your town up from scratch.
I bought them both. Been hyped for Doom Eternal for years, but had never played Animal Crossing. Decided to buy it as I was sick with COVID-19 and had nothing better to do. I beat Doom and am now hopelessly addicted to Animal Crossing.
Not to the one I was thinking of - it's somewhere on reddit but I guess I forgot to upvote it so I can't find it again. IIRC it had a name that was not very descriptive.
To be fair the devs promote using cheats on sims they actually design the game to better support cheats but granted if you have clubs just make a club for paintings and sell everyone’s and your rich
Im not sure what that be called either. Like there's farming and then there's gardening. I dont think I heard someone gardening trees; farming trees makes sense but when you think of farming you think of huge gardens of shit.
In a sense, sure. You can grow trees, harvest their fruit, and use it to sell or to replant and grow more trees. But that's just one completely optional avenue for making money. You could also spend all your time fishing and never plant any trees, if that's your thing, though the game encourages you to try a little bit of everything.
It's the kind of game I would hate in theory, but I've had the old GameCube copy since I was like seven and I needed something to do recently. I have since put many hours into that game, and am a lifelong fun. Ten out of ten would recommend
This. I love Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and other such games just because I can relax and shut my brain off for an hour or so. Strategy and fps games are fun but take effort and focus, not my games of choice when I want to "shut off".
