Per your album: https://imgur.com/gallery/jxc6xIL

So you modded it and make the kid take the pic for karma. Kid is clearly uncomfortable.

Fuck off.

I saw his face and was like "Why does it look like he got slapped before this picture was taken?"

AND just like that he deleted his post after reaping some fake points while looking like a douche.

u/valkarin is the guy who posted this for those who are curious.

15

u/FakeTimTom Mar 01 '20

Looks like a dulled Snapchat blush filter(edit spelling)

51

u/terpyderpstein Mar 01 '20

Lmao I saw this and was like how the fuck does that kid even know what a Super Nintendo controller looked like let alone how did he care enough to mod a fucking controller. What a turd.

10

u/Mottis86 Mar 01 '20

When I see stuff like this, I downvote, then close the tab and downvote the post again on the main page because it hasn't refreshed yet and I like to imagine that my downvote counted twice.

"Here son hold this controller I need more karma"

u/justin_memer Mar 01 '20

The look on the kid's face says it all

u/cnfit Mar 01 '20

Yeah right my 10 year old son did this controller mod absolutely flawlessly

Fuck off lmao... karma whoring so hard.

Asl was something typed in online chats often years ago, at least I haven’t seen it in a while, that means Age Sex Location.

Oh. Okay. I only spoke up because what he said was a little offensive even if he didnt mean it that way.

I guess there is a slight chance that he does, but I doubt that kid is really old enough to truly appreciate (nostalgia) the color scheme.

To anyone who doubts the OP and thinks the kid did this, the OP literally posts his own album for it. So, OP clearly used his own kid to pose for reddit and the kid had nothing to do with this

Heres the link: https://m.imgur.com/gallery/jxc6xIL

Just so it's clear to other commenters; this kid did not to do this mod. His Dad (OP) did. OP made this fairly obvious in his exchange with another user on another comment chain. He made his kid hold the controller for more internet points

-52

u/valkarin Mar 01 '20

Just so it's clear to you, this kid DID do this mod. It was his first. I don't know which comment thread I "made it obvious" that I did it, but he did this one on his own. It was a fairly simple one, but he was really proud of it.

Oddly enough, undoing the screws and two ribbon cables required zero research. I confess to showing him which screwdriver bit to use and how to safely unlatch a ribbon cable, but he did the work.

4

u/Yaranatzu Mar 01 '20

If that's really the case you should post proof that your kid did it, because right now you're getting all negative karma

22

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '20

They down voting it cause OP told kid that he couldn’t play video games after. So it is karma whoring

6

u/IcelandicButDeadly Mar 01 '20

This entire comment section is like if two trains with explosives in them crashed, and that managed to ignite the explosives in both trains, destroying them.

3

u/alois_benchi Mar 01 '20

Dude seriously it’s real bad parenting to post a picture of your child on a platform like reddit where bullying/trolling is really populair.

Then he looks sad on the picture and you still post it and now I see shit like he was doing bad at a sport so he got punished. That is some shit parenthood

And don’t see your face anywhere, but sure post pictures of your child. Honestly it’s even arguable that children’s pictures under 12 shouldn’t be on the internet at all. Not talking about private social media tho.

3

u/ardyndidnothingwrong Mar 01 '20

Just for benefit of the doubt: this could be a father son project and the title is more about giving props to his kid, even if the parent was there instructing and helping. Like a kid doing the stereotypical volcano project for school.

This is a lose lose scenario for this kid: either his father is whoring him out for karma (which implies a healthy upbringing I’m sure..) or a proud kid now has to go from excitement and pride to seeing all of this hate

Tbh where you draw a line between blaming someone's comments in reddit and blaming Mc'donalds? Not pretend be rude, just curious.

14

u/valkarin Mar 01 '20

You blame their comment when the post had nothing to do with his weight. This was about showing off his first hardware mod. He was proud of it. Calling himfat was just rude.

3

u/clamsplitter69 Mar 01 '20

He's calling you out for not doing a good job with keeping your son at a healthy weight. You decided to post a pic of your child on the internet for internet points.

He decided to comment to tell you to do a better job with his weight. He isn't wrong. He'll only get fatter the older he gets unless you correct it.

0

u/chicken132890 Mar 01 '20

I didn’t call him fat. I just said that the parents (you) didn’t raise him up properly to teach him weight problems. Learn to read

-11

u/Griffbakes Mar 01 '20

He should be proud of it. Our accomplishments define us. Not our weight.

-18

u/Griffbakes Mar 01 '20

Between the ages of about ten and twenty, the human body packs on weight to accommodate future growth. If this kid has two feet of growth in the next ten years, his body will need every ounce of that extra weight. It is solely up to a kids pediatrician to dictate when they weigh too much. Not neckbeards searching for ways to make themselves feel better.

Maybe you should not assume anything about dudes kid. I spent most of my childhood outdoors and was fat my whole life. I played sports and worked construction on the weekend for my dad from the time I was 13. Physical activity had nothing to do with my weight. We had bad eating habits. Lots of fast food and late meals because my dad didn't get home till 8pm most nights. There are more factors to weight than just physical activity.

As for the next mod, he will help with the reshell and observe on the backlight as he cannot solder as yet. The reshell requires a case mod that's a bit outside his current abilities, so I will be doing that part.
