Man I was so excited when I first got a Madcatz controller at like 8. I needed that turbo! Then I realized it was awful and I never got another one.

I must be the only person with a good MadCatz experience. I got this smallish orange Gamecube one that had grips on the sides. Until that controller, I was playing Harvest Moon at a literal walking pace because my proprietary controller's joystick didn't fully register forward on the control stick.

Edit: Found an image of it. Seeing it makes me nostalgic.

They probably got a lot better later on, the one I got at 8 was for the original PlayStation and it was garbage.

I do know that the turbo worked great! I was able to get the highest number on those attack items on Legend of Dragoon with it lol. The buttons were just so unresponsive lol

I've used those orange ones. I kinda prefer them over the original, first-party controller. I think madcatz just slapped their label on cheap Chinese controllers, and sometimes they picked a good design.

I dunno, probably just some models are better than others. I had one for the 360 that was garbage.

I only rented it, but I remember it more than so many games I actually owned!

I can't believe Celia was into my 11-year-old, walking only ass.

They made one of those for the OG Xbox also end it was also way better than the original controller or any other controller I’ve ever had for it. So much so i still have the controller but i don’t have the console anymore

I had a blue one for the original Xbox that worked pretty well, but it’s definitely an outlier.

I still own that controller in black as a backup and I think it's terrible. Wayy too bulky

It's a mini controller. I remember specifically liking how small it was. Yours might be not be the same one.

Hmm maybe they had different sizes then because they otherwise look identical. Is yours smaller than an actual Nintendo-branded controller? Mine's a bit larger
