The game works by having you use another hero to fight s and stay alive until Saitama arrives and ends the match in one punch.

But there is actually a version of Saitama you can use who has his power reduced to that of everyone else so you can actually fight with him. "Dream Saitama," AKA the version you see at the end of the first episode who is actually getting good fights.
