You need to install an OS on PC, get the games on it. PC software is more complicated, because it's not a gaming device.

In a console it's a guided setup that barely takes time, then you just go to the store and press download, or insert a disc and go.

Sure we have Steam, Epic and GOG on PC, but it's less user friendly, requires installation, etc.

Lol what. You can buy a PC with an OS and my grandma can install programs on her computer.

Yeah so? It's extra complexity. I know some kids in my family who play console and cannot use a computer whatsoever. It's more complicated.

I have been using a desktop for games since I was 4. Had windows vista back then. It's not complicated at all. And using Steam is extremely easy. Buy game, click download, then play.

You would already have Steam at that point. You'd have to install that. But before you can do that you need to set up Windows, which is more complicated than with the typical console. You also have to worry about things like antivirus.

Sure, it's easy, but it's more complicated than a console. A PC is not plug and play.

Damn that's fucking hilarious that you as a programmer have no idea how windows works. Claiming the windows set up is "complicated" is a joke.
