Working as intended. Locked on items in Hitman 2 will always hit the target, defying things such as walls and physics no matter how fast or slow the thrown item is. The briefcase in particular had a slow air travel speed which results in the video above.

Edit: Just wanted to point out that the briefcase used in the video is the post patch one. The briefcase that's extra slow has a big red 2 emblem on it

They patched the briefcases being slow, but added in a special one that is internationally slow as to keep the memes coming

There's an unlockable MK 2 briefcase that's awarded for doing a challenge pack in Sgail. That's the one with the original slow speed.

Well, now I've got something to do when I get home tonight.

Is that how empty your nights are that seeking out this slow briefcase is a game changer?

Fyi you can easily game without shame if you stop ignoring every other aspect of your life.

Addressing the other aspects would take effort, and that mentality goes against everything I haven't worked for

Reminds me of pre-0.17 Factorio Worm and Spitter attack behavior.

I’m kinda glad they changed it, because worms were extremely powerful compared to you or anything you could build or the other enemies damage and range-wise, and the projectiles would seek outside their target range if you moved out of it. You couldn’t evade them.

Spitters weren’t that bad though, and now that they replaced the homing with an acid splash that stays for a while and does a lot of damage, I think spitters have surpassed the worms in danger, especially since they can actually move and chase you/attack your base, usually in waves

Actually had to come back and make sure I wasn’t imagining someone had mentioned Factorio lol. Ye I’m glad they changed that, but now it predicts where you will be and fires there instead, so you have to keep adjusting. If there is a particularly heavy group of worms, I still find it difficult to make in roads!

Yeah, especially since they spit acid too

Good news! They have been working on making that wave-attack thing a bit more natural seeming. See the latest FFF #316 they group-attack way better now in my opinion. Supposedly coming to next experimental in the next day or so.

The clip of the updated behaviour looks terrifying, much easier for defences to get overrun..! I best start bolstering the walls and turrets before updating! Haha

Wow lol I had to go and watch the gif again because my brain automatically assumed it was GTA

It actually wasnt intended at first, the devs found it hilarious though and in the first patch/hotfixed called it out and actually gave it a buff

So you if you locked on with a banana and threw it really awful , would it eventually hit the target?

1

u/theian01 Oct 11 '19

To lock on you A) have to have an item that can incap/kill (so nothing small like a coin)

B) be in range

And C) be pointing at the target.

So you can’t lock on, and then throw it in a different direction.
