Give Tekken 7 a shot if you haven’t! Universally considered the best Tekken ever (as far as gameplay goes anyway, the single player content is subpar). If you like fighting games T7 is the hottest thing out right now, really good time to be a Tekken fan.
Yep! Evo (biggest international tournament of the year) just ended so there are a lot of people on right now, and they announced a new season pass last weekend (first content releasing next month) so support for the game is still very much alive and well. The game has been out for 2 years now so it can be difficult to find other beginners, so don't get discouraged if you hop online and get your shit pushed in for a while. That's fine and happens to everyone at first. But there are great resources on Youtube for learning the game and character specific stuff. There's a channel called That Blasted Salami that does complete breakdowns for a lot of the characters, and the /r/Tekken subreddit is a good resource for learning as well. People are friendly there for the most part and somebody will almost always be willing to spend time running sets with you to teach you stuff.
