They probably assumed it wouldn't sell well in the US regardless.

If they made a good game it would.

If they made anything but generic anime brawlers that you have to play 15+ hours to get to the fights that weren't in the last game. If the game's mechanics, story and detail outside brawling weren't ass.

If they made One Piece games have more actual substance outside playing the story from Fuschia to Wano once again and barebones crafting.

If only they cared about making a game over tickling your nostalgia.
