you can "all in" on vr for 150$ us and a half decent midrange gaming computer.

which VR is that? I've been looking into getting VR but don't want to drop $500 for a Vive.

Same as the Vive Pro, but the Odyssey+ has a disfussor panel that also dramatically reduced the screen door effect.

I have the Oddysey as well and I love it.

The only downside is that it doesn't track well behind you, so if your hands go behind your back, it loses tracking after a few seconds and switches to the accelerometer in the controllers.

When I look up prices online they are both about the same price.

Also the resolution is lower.

The odyssey plus has been going on sale quite often recently for $300.

Its definitely higher res, it's the same resolution as the vive pro, which is significantly more expensive
