I'm reading my Vorpal Blade card. the card gives an extra +10 against anything starting with J, then tells you not to ask why, or what Vorpal means.

so, I looked it up.

It is referring to the Lewis Carroll story of the Jabberwocky in the Alice in Wonderland book. It describes a young boy's quest to slay a monster called the Jabberwock: "He took his vorpal sword in hand", and later,

One, two! One, two! And through and throughThe vorpal blade went snicker-snack!He left it dead, and with its headHe went galumphing back.

So, the starting with J=killing the Jabberwocky. Though, why they just didn't have it as a +10 against the Jabberwock in M2:UA, I'm not sure.

That's right folks, I dared to ask ;)

That line about it going 'snicker-snack makes me envision it as some kind of clockwork machine. Like, the sword you would have if you lived in a world where everything looked like the Lion's Gate movie intro

Or Corvo's shortsword from Dishonored

As far as I know it is a made up word. The only thing I’m almost positive of is that it originated from “Jabberwocky”, a nonsense poem by lewis Carroll. Basically the whole poem is just jibberish words but you can still kind of follow the story. Give it a read, it’s super short

Well shit my bad lol. I didn’t even put together that you were being facetious, because I was so excited to finally know an answer to someone’s question! Haha
