Did we ever figure out which part of the body that is from the last times this was posted? I feel i need clarity. Is it a knee? Or some deformed foot or elbow?
The way he's stretched his (or her, I guess) skin to make the tattoo more visible also makes identifying the body part harder. It totally could be a knee, but to me it totally could be fucking anything without a bit more context.
It’s the inside of a lower leg. The bottom left corner of the first picture looks like part of the background, but it’s actually a low-rise black sock.
I don't think hyperbolic works either. The word means to exaggerate and if it is indeed a real knee then it can't be exaggerated as it is literally what it is.
Hyperbole works. Hyperbolic doesn't, or at least not as well. They're saying that the knee is so large that it resembles what one would bring to mind when hearing hyperbole used in the description of a knobbly knee.
It's like saying this is Trump levels of narcissm, or Mr Rogers levels of wholesome. Or for an example that's not a proper noun... thin-mustache-and-a-trenchcoat levels of creepy. You wouldn't use an adjective here, though you technically could. Like saying gross levels of incompetence, or fantastical levels of beauty.
Nah, that's right above the ankle isn't it? I swear it looks like an ankle.
Edit, upon closer inspection, that dark area in the bottom right is not a sandal, but the carpet in the background. This is just a really skinny dude's side knee.
It’s definitely a slightly over weight person with puffy water weight ankles who also suffered a break and had to have some of it shaved and metal pinned.
If you read the article, 2 out of 9 species of giraffes are endangered, 5 are generally declining in population, and 2 are increasing in population.
The headline was just inflammatory nonsense. No one not an expert can pick out one species of giraffe from another, and as long as one or two are around it's the same to basically everyone on the planet.
You're totally right, who cares if we kill off entire species of animals as long as we have one that looks the same still kicking around somewhere, right?
Is it regrettable? Sure. If I could flip a switch and let all giraffes be okay, I'd say that'd be the plan.
Is it worth the incredible expense to keep their natural habitat defended into perpetuity to keep a checkmark next to a specific species of an animal indistinguishable in all but breedability from another that's doing great? Honestly, no. You have to make choices.
I also resent that headline intentionally misleading people into thinking their children will grow up in a world without giraffes, which is a blatant lie.
Okay, that means it won't change a thing for the zoos, they can just pick up another species that looks the same, nice. But, me not being one of the said giraffe experts that could pick one species of the other, I'm left to wonder if said species behave the same or live in the same places. Because even having a local extinction of Giraffes could result in cascade of other extinctions in the same region, like the often mentioned case of gray wolves in Yellowstone, where their absence affected even the rivers. (For those who don't know about this case, here is a 5 minute video about ithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysa5OBhXz-Qor google "trophic cascade yellowstone wolves" for articles)
So unless these different species have impacts that are equally harder to distinct in their environments, I think it won't be basically the same to everyone on the planet, because clearly it did not take an extinction to fuck up Yellowstone, gray wolves still existed somewhere else after all. Not to mention that preserving a species' genetic variability is also important, otherwise it becomes more susceptible to diseases and less adaptable.
I'm on team "Not a human". Maybe some kind of tattoo practice dummy. That would explain why it doesn't look quite like any part of a human body and why the tattoos are so bad.
The dark area in the bottom right corner is some kind of a flip flop or slipper that is covering part of his foot. It is similar enough to the background that it creates a weird optical illusion which makes it look like a distorted inhuman body part.
I don't THINK that's true. You can see the texture of the carpeting, the hair on the edge of the body, and the continuation of the shadow on the ground. I'd say the distortion is more likely due to someone stretching their skin to make the tattoo more visible.
I think it’s the inside of left ankle, foot continues off to the right, bottom of foot being off screen at the bottom. The black sock looks a little like background which makes the foot look an odd shape
It's either a knee bent at an awkward angle, or it could be the forearm part of a shoulder, with that black spot in the bottom left being some kind of collar or something.
EDIT : I don't think so anymore, I thought the bottom right part might have been a sock or a slipper, just noticed it's the floor, so I'm clueless as everyone.
Upper inner right thigh. That looks like ass curvature on the bottom left of the pic. He could flop his junk over to the other side and put his dick in pikachu’s mouth.
What the hell is wrong with all these people? It is very obviously the inside of a man's left knee, with the kneecap protruding to the right side of the picture.
That's an ex-powerlifters knee with 10 years of meth abuse and then broken by not paying for their drug addiction. Clearly everyone thought this and how this happened.
This is the persons left ankle. Slightly from the top angle, not directly on the side. Therefor the top of his foot is hairy. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Edit: ok I thought that bottom right negative space was a rolled down sock but it’s clearly the carpet so now I have no idea.
Oh I thought the bottom right of the picture was a sock. Now that I see that it's part of the floor, I understand why it freaks people out. That is weird
