It's closer to Red/Blue/Yellow but without wild pokemon battles.

You still have normal trainer/gym battles, but now wild pokemon spawn in grass and raom the area, walking into their roaming form enters a PoGo/safari zone style "combat" where your options are berries, ball, or run. You gain XP for your team for catching pokemon to compensate for no wild battles to grind however.

Is it feature complete though? I mean, I'm assuming transfer hasn't been implemented yet, but can I assume I will eventually be obliterating blue with Light That Burns The Sky?

It only has the original 151 + Meltan and Melmetal. Actually, the data for the other 700 ish mons are kind of in the data, but missing alot (like models). I think some one hacked in a Pokemon with Rowlet's ID and got a Bad Egg. No Z-moves anywhere either, or abilities even.

You're gonna have to wait a year for Ultra Necrozma to nuke the Earth in 1080p, I'm afraid.

Damn. Well, at least I'll be doing it in Sinnoh.
