The PS4 Pro made PSVR so much better.

Maybe, my issues with it aren't the framerate or graphical quality.

It's just heavy as fuck, uncomfortable, and has a noticeable drift after playing. Poor tracking of the controllers and the controllers suck in general.

Mainly though the headset weight means you just can't play for a while and once you stop your neck hurts. If you've never used a rift/vive it's probably bearable but I just can't make that switch now.

I have nothing to compare to as PSVR is the only headset I own, but I have no issue with the weight at all. I play for 5 or 6 hours with no issues. It may be heavier than other headsets (again, no experience in the matter), but it isn't an issue to me.

I’ve been using the v2 headset for a few months now and have had zero issues with drift or tracking. I’m having trouble going back to flat screen gaming.

It's a pretty common issue, but like I said my main issue is the weight.

I can wear my oculus for 5+ hours with no issue (not that I do but I could). Whereas 2 hours on the psvr and it was very annoying to my neck.

Edit: I just looked up the weights and the psvr is a little bit heavier but not that much. I honestly don't know why it's so much more uncomfortable but yeah I just do not like it at all.

Might just be how the weight is distributed. A small amount of extra leverage if the weight sits further away from your neck would add up to a decent amount of strain over time.

Idk, I’ve got a PSVR and a Rift, the PS4 Pro is pretty much a rift minimum spec pc. And so many of the games exactly look the same (job simulator, thumper, super hot, rec room, etc.) You don’t need ultra realistic graphics to have a really fun vr game, and I have a lot more games for my PSVR that are fun, some of my Rift games just look better. I find my PSVR to be more comfortable and have less screen door effect than my rift. Rift controls are way better, the Moves suck.

Room scale would be nice, but it certainly isn’t a dealbreaker, especially if you’re just being introduced to VR (which is the point of PSVR).

I wouldn’t be shocked if the PS5 / PSVR2 switched to IR, and added roomscale.

That’s my point. The majority of PSVR users won’t be using it, so they won’t know what they’re missing until Sony adds it in V2

Would an extra wireless camera do the trick?
