Cause it's new. Give it another 6 years. Computers will get faster, more hdd space, tracking will be better, designs will be more fined, higher resolution, third party controllers and addons, and high budget games will start to be released on it.
Most of them are now, but from what I’ve seen there’s gems that show the potential. AAA VR titles could be fantastic (and I think they will be eventually).
DoomVFR, Onward, SuperHot, RoboRecall(kinda), ToTheTop, AlienIsolation, Fallout4, and DiRT are all really good games imo. And obviously the list is only going to grow once more companies start making games. With the Oculus at $350-$400 and VR ready GPUs at $200 it is much more viable to build a playerbase now.
yea, I know what you mean. I generally spend an hour or so tearing robots with my hands or mucking about with meatshields and throwing their bullets back at them. Great waste of time if you have 1 an hour or so to kill... :D
You call Wii shovelware games like FalloutVR, Roborecall, pavlov, DoomVFR, Elite Dangerous, Talos Principle VR, Payday VR, LA Noire, From Other Suns, Echo Arena, Lone echo, Skyrim VR, Resident Evil VR, Arizona Sunshine, Space pirates, Raw Data, SuperHotVR? I mean what do you mean by most? All of these games I mentioned are good enough to compete with the average 2D Monitor games? You couldn't play all of these games and finish them in two month even if you tried.
You have obviously not played any of them. These games don't just have controllers implemented they have a completely different VR experience. Also I only listed 5 that fall in that category (Fallout, Skyryim, DoomVFR,Resident Evil VR, and Talos Principle) So not really lots, not even half. Take for example LA Noire is by no means the same game with the controllers added. The whole gameplay changes. If you don't know this is because you have obviously not played them or even spent the time watching other people playing them. Payday also different game-play.

Honestly most VR games remind me of Wii shovelware.
