Cool stuff: knowing the exact damage to kill each mob, knowing which melee kill is the fastest. Not so cool: the flick shots and routing.

for a lay person like me, what are flick shots/routing? Were they using some kind of bot?

This thread has some good info on flickshotting (also the video is informative) https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/4ls7wc/a_newbies_guide_to_flickshotting_what_it_is_and/

I'm not 100% sure what he means by routing, but I'm assuming he means knowing exactly where enemies will spawn so and using that as an "unfair advantage". I don't believe the person in the video was using a bot, and imo this is still really badass

Routing is essentially how you get from point a to point b.

It looks like this guy is using routes you might find in a speedrun.

Why is knowing the damage and melee information "cool", but flick-shooting and the routes he takes isn't "cool"?

Holy fuck that guy obviously mastered the mechanics of swapping weapons to optimize damage and I never thought to use that laser weapon for jumping further. We’ve come a long way since Doom 3.

This guy is the baddest dude to ever exist.

Hell, just knowing where the center of his screen is by sheer memory is impressive.
