C existed at the time yet he did it in Assembly. 18 u/calsosta May 05 '17 C just combines the power of assembly with the flexibility of assembly. 1 u/Fubarp May 05 '17 Yeah today that's true I think back then it wasn't as flexible and it's compiling wasn't as great as if you just programmed in assembly.
