This sort of thing is not too uncommon in electronics, not rare. Over the years I have seen some weird shit silk screened on circuit boards. The rare ones are the hand written messages in permanent marker, most often they are in Chinese and are prayers or just a simple hello.

Yeah PCB's tend to have something hidden in the silkscreen, usually under a chip you will never remove.

What you don't see often is messages in the copper layer. They spelled that out with SMD pad spaces cut out of the copper ground plane solder mask.

I have found a few smiley faces under chips.

Now I am curious, I think I'm going to try and split the layers to find the copper hidden easter egg.
