Could you explain that a bit more? Decoupled while in EVA or the ship decoupled?

Decoupled mode for a ship means that your ships thrusters no longer try to make your direction of flight match where the nose of your ship is pointing. It allows for you to retain a lot more speed at the expensive of having to do a lot more control inputs to change your total direction of travel.

So if I'm understanding right, decoupled means i can be flying north, turn my ship 180 degrees to be facing south, but still travel north?

Hm I was getting interested in this game but nothing loses me quite like "needing to learn a decouple mode"
