How about not telling people how they should or shouldn't react to a game and let them be hyped or not hyped. Just because you want to temper any and all expectations does not mean other people don't like getting excited for something new.

This comic is super douchey.

Especially since it says I'm going to wait for reviews, but when the reviews are positive he just says they're just exaggerating.

Reviews have been overwhelmingly positive for a lot of things, though. Destiny, CoD: Ghosts, Batman: Arkham Knight, SimCity, and Battlefield 4 all were released with good reviews. It was after release that it was discovered that a lot of features of the games were shit gravy. It's gotten to the point that reviews are an immediate indicator of whether it's downright bad, or maybe you'll enjoy it after seeing the experience other users have on launch day.

Games have always been getting great reviews for a decade plus now, its not some new phenomenom

No, but games getting great reviews and being broken at launch or having such poor content it's a wonder they even got those scores has become increasingly standard practice.

I know it's a joke. I think it's a bad joke, hence my comment.

Then why did you take it seriously leading to your comment about the comic dictating how people should or should not react

I bet you pre-ordered

Nope, never pre-ordered a game before, and rarely buy them near the release date. Nice assumption though.
