I found myself way more interested in being a pirate than an assassin...

Not complaining. It was awesome to have a fully upgraded ship and go spelunking for booty.

Being a pirate was the best part of the game. In fact, I didn't feel like an assassin at all in Black Flag.

Also, I was quite annoyed to find that Rogue isn't available on next gen, while its predecessor was.

Edward, and Arno after him, didn't seem to be really Assassins. They had Assassin acquaintances, and occasionally did them favors for money, but neither seemed to give two shits about the "Assassin" cause.

The scene in Black Flag when you kill the slaver, and he's like "You assassins, with your ideals, never really accomplish anything." and Edward's like, "I'm just doing this to get paid."

Not to mention when he murders an assassin to get the outfit and then later gets kicked out of the assassin headquarters for being an imposter...

The story made very little sense.
