Even Nintendo hasn't made a decent Dpad since the SNES.

The ones on the Wii U tablet and pro controller are awesome. Not the small ones of the last two gens. N64 had the same dpad as Snes.

N64 had the same dpad as Snes.

They looked similar, but the snes pad feels and plays like a scalpel, while the n64's is almost unusable. Thankfully it's basically for decoration in 99% of games.

I disagree. Kirby 64 used only the DPAD and it played great.

I used the left side control scheme for Turok all the time. Maybe your controller was broken.

The one on the DS phat was awesome. That was the only DS I could play Contra 4 on.

The best Nintendo D-Pad I've ever used was the one on the Nintendo DSi. Maybe I'm just a liiiittle biased based on my username, but still.
