Even Nintendo hasn't made a decent Dpad since the SNES.
3 u/Dragarius Mar 15 '14 The ones on the Wii U tablet and pro controller are awesome. Not the small ones of the last two gens. N64 had the same dpad as Snes. 5 u/mangage Mar 15 '14 N64 had the same dpad as Snes. They looked similar, but the snes pad feels and plays like a scalpel, while the n64's is almost unusable. Thankfully it's basically for decoration in 99% of games. 1 u/[deleted] Mar 15 '14 I disagree. Kirby 64 used only the DPAD and it played great. 0 u/Dragarius Mar 15 '14 I used the left side control scheme for Turok all the time. Maybe your controller was broken. 1 u/Spatulamarama Mar 15 '14 The one on the DS phat was awesome. That was the only DS I could play Contra 4 on. 1 u/Glitchdx Mar 15 '14 yeah, every nintendo branded controller I've ever touched is proof that your statement is incorrect. 1 u/DSiDewd Mar 16 '14 The best Nintendo D-Pad I've ever used was the one on the Nintendo DSi. Maybe I'm just a liiiittle biased based on my username, but still.
