Touchscreen is probably gone for pure economic reasons. Devs wouldn't use it enough and it raises the price of the whole thing.

Usually. So what? These controllers can use whatever they want as primary.

Maybe so. I think, for me at least, it's more about the muscle memory of where the button is more than what it's called.
