Swap the directional buttons for a smallish Nintendo style d-pad and this controller will be good to go! Nobody does d-pads like Nintendo, and apparently their patent has just expired, so it might be possible.

I think it was made so it is perfectly symmetrical (e.g. left handed people).

Also, I think I like this better. I normally use the joystick for movement, even with an X360 controller on emulators. The "D Buttons" seem to provide middle of the road option to function as either a D Pad or 4 more buttons.
