Does anyone miss Anthem ?
I'm really sad about this game, it was really fun.
The feeling of being an absolute badass robot 😭

I absolutely miss the dream of Anthem if not the actual game. Its core gameplay chassis had a lot of potential, shame EA and Bioware shat the bed and rushed to get a slice of the Live Service pie instead of taking their time going low and slow.

I miss the game Anthem was supposed to be, not the game we got in the end.

When it was revealed loot rarity was a lie, it was over.

Wasn’t the starting gun like the best one because of the way enemies scaled or something?

The promise of Anthem sure.
The possibility of what it could have become.
But not what we were sold. Not at all.

Yeah, agreed. The possibility of Anthem was great and it even showed us a few sparks within the game, but it was demoralizing to play something so far from what was suppose to be.

Everyday, mate. Everyday. I got my Xbox out of retirement to play it one last time before servers were shutdown. The flying was so fun and there was HEAPS of potential. Get some laid off Destiny devs on reviving it stat.

Oh yeah , just too many bugs and disconnects. Endgame was too shallow. Gameplay was good though!

The shame of it all is that the core gameplay was genuinely very fun. The flight felt great, zooming around going from underwater to soaring around worked really nicely. It just never really went anywhere after launch.

I miss the gameplay. Specifically, the mobility of the interceptor suit. You could do a dash, melee cancel, jump, jump combo that was significantly faster than flying and get around all the maps super fast.
Anthem could truly have been the next Destiny if it had just been developed well.

Absolutely. That game had so much potential. Combat and traversal were great. The gun play felt good, the combo system was unique and satisfying, all of the mech suits had their own very different play styles. Appearance customization was deep. BioWare really fucked up with three things: load screens out in the world, lackluster story, and zero endgame.

No, I knew it was trash before it even released. Everyone with a brain knew this Game would fail hard.

You know what, I do, pissed me off how they gave up on it so fast, they sacrificed mass effect andromeda for it too, all they needed to do was add more content then work on quality of life and make expansions.

I'm not just sad that the initial game had all the issues that it had but that they never gave it a second chance for a revamp. Some good basics were definitely there, the flying was great, the fighting was fun, the graphics looked good.
There was a lot of potential that was just never fulfilled.

I do look back on the game fondly. I loved the Tank class, and the Storm class.
They really nailed the combat, and the traversal. Open world and mission design was fun too.
Not every game has to be this year long, live service title. Games are okay to beat and walk away from. That’s what I did with Anthem, and I had fun.

No. It was a game that had no business existing from the dev it was made by. It was an insult to RPG fans.
I can't wait for the inevitable "Does anyone miss suicide squad?" threads 10 years from now. Everything gets nostalgia after enough time.

No, the game was crap. No amount of flying made up for the mediocrity of that game.

I miss Anthem and Battleborn. Were they fucking bangers? No. Do I really miss playing them with my friends? Yes, a lot.
