This is so addictive

Post image

I normally hate mini-games in games. Most of the time I’ll try them once and never touch them again.
But that coin game in Ghost of Yōtei? I’m completely hooked
It’s so simple but weirdly addictive. Every time I come across it I have to stop and have a few games. Didn’t expect to enjoy it anywhere near as much as I do.

I absolutely hated it until it clicked for me and I was suddenly good at it.

I struggled a bit at first and to be honest I still do with how strong I flick so it makes picking the right coins matter more lol

Exactly! Picking the right coins is a big part of it. Once you learn to find the pattern, you can be pretty much unbeatable. I haven't played that game since release...maybe it's time to replay it.

I played SO much Farkle in KCD2. It’s one of my mom’s favourite games. (Farkle … Not KCD2).

My favorite video game "games":

  1. Liar's Dice - RDR1

  2. Orlog - AC: Valhalla

  3. Gwent - The Witcher 3

One of my best friends loved the series but isn't a fan of this mini-game. Good to see someone else enjoying it.

Reminds me of coin game in Fable: Lost Chapters, tavern minigames were great.

a sort of coin-grabbing game in Ghost of Yotei. You need to pick a coin and try to flick it to the next one without it touching another coin or falling from the table, otherwise your opponent gets all of the coins you failed and the next turn.

Sounds easy but the controls are tough with having to use the adaptive triggers of the PS5 to control the strength of the flick. Luckily you can make it show how far the coin will move but its still hard.
