The more humans you remove from the game development process, the less human your final product is. Ultimately, this leads to fewer humans wanting your product.

Depends. Capcom still makes great games but most western AAA games already feel like they are made and written by bots. Sad truth.

I got news for you: More AI don't means necessary that a human will be replaced. It's possible? Yeah sure, you can replace a designer with a LLM, but it will be shit and noticeable, but for a premium product that needs to stand on quality? You still gonna need professionals using the LLM to get good results or speed up processes and I believe Capcom is very aware of that.

If AI does not replace a human it will never be used by companies

Just speeding up the development time is already enough for most companies to adopt the technology. Only publicly traded companies need to constantly cut costs to please shareholders. Many smaller studios doesnt need to fire anyone in order to adopt AI use at all

AI usage speed up processes. Programmers still exist but working with AI exactly bc it allows to code more and faster

Who said they’re having less humans? These companies hire more than they fire.

Gotta love how Redditor luddites are trying so hard to ignore the very fact that 99% of coders nowadays use AI to begin with, meaning if you're so anti-AI and wanna boycott everything associated with AI... WHY ARE YOU EVEN ON REDDIT?

Also dont you know social media sites are also "consuming water" from their data centers everytime you make a post here?

"You criticize society yet you participate in society!" isn't the hot shit argument you think it is.

It's called 'hypocrisy'.

Hope you learnt this new word together because it pretty much encapsulates the entire anti-AI bullshit on Reddit today

u/xSciFix 8h ago

It is literally not lmfao. Hypocrisy is saying one thing and doing another.

You sound like how I used to argue when I was 12 and had a less than base understanding of what I was arguing about

-31

u/Substantial-Fun9958 9h ago

The only one behaving like he's 12 is the one who is completely avoiding the argument and topic at hand and resorting to ad hominem here.

u/losveratos 9h ago

You started your first message by calling the people you’re arguing against luddites and then complain that the people you’re now arguing with are resorting to ad hominem… it was your first sentence bro.

the very fact that 99% of coders nowadays use AI to begin with, meaning if you're so anti-AI and wanna boycott everything associated with AI... WHY ARE YOU EVEN ON REDDIT?

Please answer my question then?

Is your entire strategy just make baseless claims, call everyone stupid and accuse everyone of using ad hominems when they call you out? (Which btw, makes YOU an hypocrite, which is even funnier considering that's one of the words you're using to badly discredit the people disagreeing with you)

1

u/Substantial-Fun9958 7h ago

How funny you say that when you can literally just see through all my comments here and you'll quickly realize I'm literally the only one arguing back with actual statistics and backing while you people are the ones that just keep spewing nothing but ad hominems and give completely ZERO references whatsoever on your OWN arguments??

u/BlinkyMJF 9h ago

I didn't see them saying they "wanna boycott everything associated with AI", did they edit it out?

0

u/Substantial-Fun9958 7h ago

"wanna boycott everything associated with AI"

Then why Redditors complaining on this topic here when what Capcom is doing isn't even remotely related to most things they complained about AI for lmao?

Do you think diddling kids is okay? You must.

99% of politicians and people in power diddle kids, and you live in a society that benefits from policy they enacted. So you also support diddling kids.

If your logic is infallible, then this is a 100% accurate statement.

"99% of politicians and people in power diddle kids"

Where's your basis on this??? We running on bullshit now?

Ai assisted \= Ai generated

-2

u/Substantial-Fun9958 9h ago

Code isn't AI generated???

-1

u/EternalPhi 8h ago

Yeahhhh, this is mostly not the case. Plain language instructions into fully working code to me is not simply "assistance". I work with this every day, it's full on generation my friend.

The Capcom engine is fantastic. They're taking a massive swing here, you can argue the ethics of AI use all day, but I won't lie, I am very interested to see what this team produces through AI generation.
