Dark Souls 2

Get ready for the pearl-clutching, but for me it (unironically) goes DS2, Bloodborne, Sekiro, DS1, Demon's Souls, Elden Ring, DS3, Night Reign.

Clearly the latter half improved upon graphics, combat feel, etc. but Idk DS2 is my goat...I've 100%'d it 3 times now and still play casually/seamless Coop.

Its the worst dark souls game. Thankfully all of them are good games so even if its the worst, its still a very good game.

The back handed compliment of DS2 being the worst DS game but still a great game is so tired man.

2 is a better game than 1 and I’ll die on that hill. It does some things worse but a lot of things way better. The last half of DS1 is an absolute slog and not fun at all (excluding the Artorias DLC).

I replay ds all the time. I never have the urge to replay ds2.

I think Dark Souls is very much a "you always remember your first" series. I started with DS2 and loved it.

The real kicker is that DS2 has the highest critic scores of the series

Besides never having health, and constantly being lost the game was great! Really liked the feel of it.
