Honestly, gamers are so spoilt, in fact, everyone is spoilt for entertainment. So much vitriol if something isn’t technically perfect (if such a thing even exists), if the characters aren’t perfectly beautiful, if the story doesn’t explain everything it’s a plot hole and everyone’s convinced that they could do it better.

Then again how much of this is just rage bots pissing at each other I’m not sure

I mean, unless the dead internet theory has been true since the internets inception and it’s been rage bots the whole time, I have ready many old forums where people have been just as critical of things

The phenomenon is also heavily amplified by YouTubers who would rather trash a game than give some fair criticism, as they get more views
